Welcome to my new series, The Soul of Beauty: Exploring the Shifts in Modern Society

With this series I will be exploring different facets of modern society and how we’ve fallen so far from a world of beauty. The age-old adage “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” rings truer with every passing year, but if everything is objective in our world, then nothing can be subjective. However, I believe there is subjective beauty, and it deeply impacts our lives and our souls. Beauty is no longer something we value in modern society, at least not traditional beauty. With homes painted with a broad stroke in drab shades of grey and mothers now being called beige moms for their crude home aesthetics who force their children to play with toys that dull the senses instead of enticing play and learning. Aesthetics has really taken over culture and subcultures of fashion, but have we stopped to wonder whether beauty truly exist in modern society. This series will go over modern design, architecture, fashion, and more.
